A SubZero refrigerator comes with multiple compressors unlike all other brands, which use a single compressor to cool both the refrigerator and freezer side. This means if your refrigerator breaks down, your freezer should still be fine, and vice versa. This also helps keep each compressor from running as often because each compressor only has to cool one compartment.
Most people keep a subzero refrigerator for 40 years or longer, with normal maintenance. Because your subzero has multiple compressors, they require frequent preventative maintenance to keep the unit running properly for a long time to come. We provide a yearly service where we come out and do the preventive maintenance and check to make sure everything is working correctly.
