Built to run for decades. The right care helps it get there.
Sub-Zero refrigeration is engineered differently from everyday refrigerators. Keeping one running well takes a technician who knows how it’s built, the right diagnostic tools, and access to factory repair documentation.

How a Sub-Zero works
Two refrigeration systems in one refrigerator
Most full-size Sub-Zero refrigerators run two separate sealed systems — one for fresh food and one for the freezer, each with its own compressor and evaporator. Air never mixes between them, so food stays fresher and odors don’t travel.
What that means for service
If one side fails, the other usually keeps working.
Each system has to be tested on its own — not guessed at.
Twice the components to keep in shape, which is why a yearly check-up matters.

Repair, maintenance and restoration
Every visit starts the same way: we test, explain what we find, and give you a written price before any work begins.

01 — Repair
Sub-Zero repair
When a Sub-Zero stops cooling, it’s usually one of a handful of parts on one side: a fan, the defrost system, a control, or the sealed system itself. We test each system on its own, explain what failed and give you a written estimate before any work begins.
Warm fresh-food or freezer side
Compressor & sealed-system repair
Ice maker & water valve
Control boards & sensors
Door gaskets & hinges
Condenser & evaporator fans

02 — Maintain
Yearly preventive maintenance
On dual-refrigeration models, a Sub-Zero has two systems to keep in shape. A yearly visit helps keep both running efficiently and can spot worn parts before they cause a bigger problem. We follow the care requirements for your model.
Clean the condenser coil
Check both systems’ temperatures
Inspect door gaskets & hinges
Check fans, defrost & drain
Check the ice maker & filter
Flag anything wearing out

03 — Restore
Restoring older Sub-Zeros
An older Sub-Zero is often worth restoring rather than replacing — its built-in fit and panels are hard to match. Parts are still available for many older models. We assess the cabinet, parts support and repair scope first, and a written estimate helps you compare restoring with replacing.
Not sure it’s worth it? We explain what it needs and what it will cost, so you can decide without pressure.

FAQ
Sub-Zero questions, answered
Something else on your mind? Call (405) 534-4788 and talk to a technician.
01
Do you repair Wolf and Cove appliances too?
Yes. We service the whole family — Sub-Zero refrigeration, Wolf ranges, ovens and cooktops, and Cove dishwashers.
02
Why is one side of my Sub-Zero warm while the other is fine?
On dual-refrigeration models the two sides run on separate systems, so a problem in one — a fan, the defrost system or the sealed system — usually affects only that side.
03
Is my older Sub-Zero worth repairing?
Often, yes. Sub-Zero units are built to last, and parts are usually still available. We explain what failed, what the repair will cost and whether it makes sense, so you can decide without pressure.
04
How often should a Sub-Zero be serviced?
We recommend a maintenance visit about once a year — it keeps the refrigeration running efficiently and catches worn parts early. Condenser-cleaning intervals vary by model, so check the Use and Care Guide for yours.
05
Can you help if my Sub-Zero is out of warranty?
Yes. Near is an independent repair company, and we can help with your Sub-Zero repair.
06
How much does Sub-Zero repair cost?
It depends on the problem and the part. We charge by the job, not by the hour, and you get a written estimate before any work begins. Service call fee waived with completed repair.
07
How soon can you come out?
Call (405) 534-4788 to set up a Sub-Zero repair visit, or schedule online 24/7. Appointments are available 7 days a week between 9 AM and 6 PM.
08
What warranty comes with a Sub-Zero repair?
1 year on labor, 1 year on qualified installed parts. For more details, give us a call.
