01Temperature fluctuationsTemperatures that drift up and down often come from a door that isn’t sealing, a defrost problem or a fan. Note the temperatures and whether frost has built up anywhere.
02Ice maker not workingCheck that the ice maker is switched on and the freezer is cold enough. If there’s still no ice, the water valve, a frozen fill tube or the ice maker itself may be at fault.
03Oven not heatingOn gas models, a weak oven igniter is a common cause. On electric models, the bake element or the temperature sensor.
04Dishwasher not cleaningClean the filter and check the spray arms first. If dishes stay dirty, the water may not be heating or the wash pump may be weak.
05Water leaksWater under a refrigerator often comes from a blocked defrost drain or the water line. Under a dishwasher, from a door seal, hose or pump.
06Washer or dryer problemsFor a washer, note whether it fills, drains and spins. For a dryer, whether the drum turns and whether it heats. That tells us where to start.

Does frost in a Frigidaire freezer identify the failed part?
No. Frost location, door sealing, airflow and defrost operation all matter. Share the model and temperature change so the technician can test the relevant systems before recommending parts.
Why is my Frigidaire ice maker not making ice?
First make sure the ice maker is turned on and the freezer is at about 0°F. If the refrigerator was recently moved, check that the water shutoff valve is open. A frozen fill tube, a failed water inlet valve or the ice maker itself can also stop production. Tell us when the ice stopped and whether the water dispenser still works; that helps narrow it down.
My Frigidaire upright freezer is running warm. What should I do?
Keep the door closed and check that nothing is stopping it from sealing. Listen for the fan, and look for heavy frost on the back wall, which points to the defrost system. If the freezer has warmed up, move food to another freezer or a cooler with ice, then call (405) 534-4788 with the model number.
