When it comes time to service your home appliance, its best to know the model number. Knowing this information will help us pre-prep common parts for your technician when he arrives for your service call. Here’s a quick guide on how to find your model number on your appliance quickly and easily.
For Refrigerators
Finding the model number on a refrigerator is easy. First, inspect the area on the side of the fridge, or on the area where the door meets the refrigerator. There should be a tag with all the relevant information including the model number. If it’s not there, check either on the left or right interior wall or at the top of the fresh food compartment. You can also find it on your manual or documentation like your receipt or delivery ticket. Once you have found it, take a quick photo or write down all of the information that is listed including model and serial number, so you can submit it to us and refer back to it later.
For Washers & Dryers
For Washers & Dryers
To find your model number on washers and dryers, look underneath the lid or door, where the door meets the unit. On all models, there will be a label with all of your appliance’s vital information printed directly onto it. If you don’t see anything there, check on the back of the control panel or at the back of each machine near where power cords attach to them. Instead of moving them, you can use a phone camera to take a photo while reaching behind the control panel. Additionally, if both appliances are stacked together, try looking at either one since they typically share a model and serial number between them both.
For Dishwashers
With dishwashers, open the door and look on the sides of the door frame, or the side of the door where it meets the dishwasher tub, you should see a label with its information listed on it; if nothing is there then open up the door and look at the top edge and check if its ingraved into the metal. The etching can be hard to see unless you are really looking for it.
For Ovens
For ovens, locate its control panel—which is usually on top—and open it up and look underneath the panel, you should see a white label, also look on the inside where the door meets the frame, some models may even have this info stamped onto their frames so make sure to double-check everything including the interior walls inside the oven before moving on!
For Stoves, Cooktops & Ranges
The model number on stoves & Ranges can usually be located inside the door either on the edge of the door, or it could be on the area where the door meets the frame. Other times it could be under the kickplate or if you have a drawer on the bottom, open it and look on the inside of the door or where the door meets the frame. On cooktops it will almost always be found underneath the unit so you may have to pull out the drawer and take a photo of the bottom of the cooktop.
Once you have found it
Take a quick photo or write down all of the information that is listed including model and serial number, so you can submit it to us and refer back to it later.
