When something goes wrong

BlueStar burner and oven problems.

Tell us what you are seeing. We will help determine the practical next step.

01Burner ignition issuesClicking that won’t stop after a spill or cleaning is often moisture in the ignition system. No spark at all points to the ignition switch, electrode or spark module.

02Oven temperature problemsA gas oven that heats slowly or not at all often has a weak oven igniter. An oven that runs hot or cool needs its thermostat or sensor tested.

03Uneven cookingCheck the rack position first. If results stay uneven, the convection fan, the burner flame or a door gasket that lets heat escape may be the cause.

04Control or display faultsNote which knob, light or display is acting up. Many BlueStar controls are simple switches and valves, so we test each one before replacing anything.

05Door not sealingHeat escaping around the door, or a door that won’t close flat, usually comes from a worn gasket or hinge. Both can be repaired.

06Unexpected noisesA whirring or grinding convection fan, or a loud whoosh when a burner lights, is worth a check. Tell us when the noise happens.

BlueStar repair FAQs

What BlueStar appliances does Near repair?

All of them. We repair all brands, makes, and models — every BlueStar appliance, including ranges, rangetops & cooktops and wall ovens. Have your model number ready when you call (405) 534-4788 so we can bring the right parts.

What should I have ready before my BlueStar service visit?

The model and serial number, a short description of what the appliance is doing, any error code on the display and when the problem started. Here’s how to find your model number.

What details help with a BlueStar burner that will not ignite?

Tell us which burner is affected, whether it clicks and whether other burners work. Share the model and fuel type. If you smell gas, leave and call 911 and your gas company from outside.

Why does my BlueStar burner keep clicking?

BlueStar burners use spark ignition. After a boil-over or a cleaning, water in the burner base or ignition switch can keep it clicking. Let the cooktop dry completely for a few hours and try again. If it still clicks, or one burner won’t stop sparking, the ignition switch or spark module needs to be tested.

Why does my BlueStar oven take a long time to light?

On BlueStar gas ovens the igniter has to glow hot enough before the gas valve opens. As the igniter weakens, lighting takes longer and the oven may stop heating. Tell us how long it takes for the flame to appear. If you smell gas, turn the appliance off, leave the house and call 911 and your gas company from outside.

How much does BlueStar repair cost?

Costs vary with the problem and the part, so BlueStar repair is quoted after diagnosis: one written price for the job, approved by you before work begins. Service call fee waived with completed repair.

How soon can I get an appointment?

BlueStar repair visits are scheduled 7 days a week from 9 AM to 6 PM. Schedule online whenever it suits you (booking is open 24/7) or call (405) 534-4788.

What warranty comes with a BlueStar repair?

Your BlueStar repair is covered for 1 year on labor, and qualified parts we install are covered for 1 year as well.
