What helps distinguish a Whirlpool washer drain problem from a spin problem?

Why is my Whirlpool dryer not heating?
A clogged vent is the most common root cause: the dryer overheats and the thermal fuse cuts the heat. Clean the lint screen, check that the outside vent flap opens when the dryer runs and look for a crushed hose behind the dryer. On electric models, also check the breaker. If it still won’t heat, we test the fuse, element or igniter and fix the airflow so it doesn’t happen again.
My Whirlpool refrigerator is warm but the freezer is cold. Why?
Cold air reaches the fresh-food section from the freezer. When the evaporator frosts over or the evaporator fan stops, the freezer can stay cold while the refrigerator warms up. Look for heavy frost on the freezer’s back panel and listen for the fan, then tell us what you find when you book.
