Does an LG refrigerator cooling problem always mean a compressor failure?
No. Airflow, defrost components, controls, door sealing and the refrigeration system may need assessment. Share the model, temperatures and displayed message; diagnosis identifies the appropriate repair.
What does OE mean on my LG washer?
OE is LG’s drain error: the washer couldn’t empty in time. Check that the drain hose isn’t kinked or pushed too far into the standpipe, and on front-load models clean the drain pump filter behind the small door at the bottom front (have towels ready). If OE comes back, the drain pump or its wiring needs testing.
Why does my LG washer show UE and stop spinning?
UE means the load is unbalanced, so the washer won’t spin at full speed. It often happens with one heavy item, like a rug or a couple of towels. Redistribute the load or add a few similar items and run a spin cycle. If UE shows with normal loads, worn shock absorbers, springs or a sensor may be the cause.
Why is my LG dryer taking too long to dry?
Clean the lint filter and check the vent run to the outside; many LG dryers show a Flow Sense warning when the vent is restricted. If the vent is clear and clothes are still damp, the heating element, thermal fuse or, on gas models, the igniter needs testing.
Why is my LG refrigerator ice maker not making ice?
Make sure the ice maker is switched on and the freezer is at about 0°F. On French-door models the ice maker sits in the fresh-food door; if the bucket is jammed with frost or clumped ice, the cause is usually the compartment’s seal or airflow rather than the ice maker itself. Tell us the model and when production stopped.
