01Burner will not igniteA burner that lights but goes out when you release the knob usually has a dirty or worn flame-safety thermocouple. No spark at all points to the ignition switch or spark module.

What should I have ready before my ILVE service visit?
The model and serial number, a short description of what the appliance is doing, any error code on the display and when the problem started. Here’s how to find your model number.
What details help with an ILVE range that is not heating correctly?
Tell us whether the issue affects burners, the oven or both, along with the model and fuel type. Those functions require different checks. If the range may still be under warranty, we confirm that before the repair is arranged.
Why won’t my ILVE burner stay lit?
Each ILVE gas burner has a thermocouple that holds the gas valve open only while it senses flame. After lighting, keep the knob pushed in for about ten seconds so the thermocouple can heat up. If the flame still drops out, the thermocouple tip may be dirty or worn, or the safety valve may need service. If you smell gas, turn the appliance off, leave the house and call 911 and your gas company from outside.
Why is one of my ILVE oven functions not working?
ILVE multi-function ovens switch the top, bottom, grill and fan elements on in different combinations for each setting. If bake works but grill doesn’t, for example, that points to the grill element or its switch rather than the whole oven. List which functions work and which don’t, and we’ll test those parts first.
How much does ILVE repair cost?
It comes down to the fault and the parts your ILVE appliance needs. Once the technician has found the cause, we quote the whole job in writing (no hourly rate), and you choose whether to proceed. Service call fee waived with completed repair.
