COMMON THERMADOR RANGE PROBLEMS
Find the problem you are seeing.
From the Star burners to the oven controls, we check the system behind the symptom before recommending parts.
Burners not sparking or lighting
One burner will not ignite, or all burners have stopped sparking.
What we check
We inspect the ignition system, burner condition, power and model-specific controls. A wet or misaligned burner cap can also interfere with lighting. Keep the burner off if it will not light.
Front screen dim, blank or unresponsive
The display is hard to read, flickers, goes dark or ignores touches.
What we check
We check display settings where available, the user interface, wiring and power to the controls. A screen fault does not automatically mean the entire control board needs replacement.
ExtraLow simmer not working properly
A simmer burner will not relight, shuts off unexpectedly or heats too much.
What we check
ExtraLow intentionally cycles the flame on and off. Repeated failed ignition or a changed simmer pattern needs diagnosis. We check burner operation and the relevant control circuit for your model.
Oven not heating or uneven temperatures
Bake or broil fails, preheating takes too long, or food cooks unevenly.
What we check
We identify which cooking modes fail, then inspect the appropriate ignition or heating system, sensing, airflow and controls. Gas and dual-fuel ranges use different oven systems.
Error code or repeated beeping
An E/F message appears, or the oven stops during preheat or cooking.
What we check
Photograph the full code before clearing it. We match it to the E-Nr/model and the situation in which it appeared. The code guides testing; it does not identify a replacement part on its own.
Clicking, fan, griddle or door problems
Persistent ignition clicks, a noisy fan, poor griddle heat or a stuck door.
What we check
Tell us whether it happens during cooking, cooling or self-clean. Some fan run-on and simmer clicking are normal; a new persistent sound or failure to heat needs a closer look.

Thermador range error codes, with the right context.
Start with the exact code and your model/E-Nr. A wall-oven code list or an induction code may not apply to the oven or gas burners in your range.

Oven fault / repeated beeping
Record the complete message and when it appears. If it remains, turn the oven off and arrange diagnosis. Follow the model’s displayed instructions.
E0211 · E1601 · E0510
During a Home Connect software update
Thermador identifies these as update-related messages in this context. Tell us if the message began during an update before assuming a heating component failed.
E7010
Induction-equipped models only
The cooking surface cannot connect to the home network or hood. Confirm the exact appliance and model before treating it as a cooking or heating fault.
E9000 · E9010 · U400
Induction-equipped models only
Thermador’s induction guidance flags an out-of-range supply voltage. Stop using the affected cooking surface and arrange qualified electrical/service assessment.
F1 · F6 / F2 · F4
Induction-equipped models only
These appear in Thermador’s overheating guidance for cooking zones or electronics. Allow the surface to cool; recurring messages need investigation.
No matching group here. Send the complete code and model/E-Nr so we can identify it correctly.
Seeing E011, E115, E6100 or a different code? Save a photo and share the full E-Nr, including its suffix. We verify its meaning against your model’s service information before recommending a repair.
Smell gas? Leave the area without operating electrical switches or using a phone inside. From a safe location, contact your gas utility or emergency services. Do not keep trying to light the range.

YOUR APPLIANCE, YOUR CONFIGURATION
Service for your Thermador range configuration.
Gas and dual-fuel ranges, Pro Harmony and Pro Grand configurations, and select induction-equipped models need different diagnostic paths. Send the model/E-Nr so we can confirm the exact appliance and service needs.
Star burner ignition & re-ignitionExtraLow simmer operationGas and electric oven systemsDisplays, controls & wiring
On equipped burners, ExtraLow holds a gentle simmer by turning the flame off and reigniting it. A click during relighting can be expected. A burner that will not relight, repeatedly fails to ignite, or behaves differently from before should be checked.
From your first call to the final operating check, you know what we find and what the repair will cost.

ANSWERS BEFORE YOU BOOK
Thermador range repair FAQs
Useful answers about symptoms, service and the decision to repair.
Do you repair Thermador Pro Harmony and Pro Grand ranges?
Yes. We diagnose Thermador range problems, including gas and dual-fuel configurations. Share the full E-Nr/model so we can confirm the equipment, options and parts for your appliance. For an induction-equipped model, let us know which zone is affected.
Why does my Thermador burner click but not light?
A damp or incorrectly seated burner cap, an ignition fault or another burner-system problem can cause this. With the burner off and cool, you can note whether the cap appears properly seated and whether the problem began after cleaning. Do not keep releasing gas by repeatedly trying to ignite it.
Should ExtraLow simmer burners turn on and off?
Yes. ExtraLow is designed to cycle the flame on and off at its low settings on equipped burners. If the flame fails to return, you smell gas, or the behavior has changed, stop using that burner and arrange service.
Can you fix a dim or blank Thermador display?
We diagnose dim, blank, flickering and unresponsive controls. Some models have brightness or display settings, but the interface, wiring or power supply can also be involved. We test the cause before recommending a display or board.
Why do the burners work but the oven does not heat?
The cooktop and oven do not share every component. A dual-fuel range, for example, uses gas burners and an electric oven. We check the affected oven mode and its power, heating/ignition, sensing and control systems.
What should I do when a Thermador error code appears?
Photograph the full message and model/E-Nr. Note whether it appeared at startup, during preheat, self-clean or a software update. Follow your model’s instructions; a persistent oven error calls for stopping oven use and arranging diagnosis. Do not repeatedly reset a returning fault.
How much does Thermador range repair cost?
The diagnostic fee varies by appliance and location and is explained when scheduling. After testing, we provide a written repair estimate. Service call fee waived with completed repair. We do not price a control board or other part from the symptom alone.
Can an older Thermador range be worth repairing?
It can be, depending on condition, the failed component and parts availability. A built-in kitchen configuration may make replacement more involved. We explain the repair cost and relevant limitations so you can compare the options.
What warranty comes with a range repair?
1 year on labor, 1 year on qualified installed parts. For more details, give us a call.
How soon can you visit, and should I pull the range out?
Call or schedule online for current availability. We are open seven days, 9 AM–6 PM. Clear the cooking surface and nearby work area, but leave the range installed. Do not disconnect gas, open electrical panels or move a heavy range to find a label.
