SYMPTOMS & SOLUTIONS

What is your Bosch dishwasher doing?

Start with the symptom you recognize. We diagnose the cause before recommending a part.

01 Not drainingWater sits in the tub after the cycle, often with E24 or E25.
+

A blocked filter, a kinked drain hose, a clogged air gap or the garbage-disposal connection can all stop draining before the drain pump itself fails. We find which one it is before replacing parts.

02 Not starting, or stopping mid-cycleThe controls light up, but the cycle never finishes.
+

We check the door latch, controls, water supply and any stored code. A cycle that stops at the same point every time is a useful clue — tell us where it quits.

03 Dishes not dryingPlastics stay wet, or everything needs a towel.
+

Bosch uses condensation drying — and CrystalDry on some models — rather than an exposed heating element. Rinse aid, cycle selection and the heating circuit all matter, so we test before blaming a part.

04 Not filling, or no waterThe cycle starts, then hums without water.
+

We check the water supply, the inlet valve and the leak-protection system. A triggered flood sensor can stop the fill entirely on many models.

05 Leaking, or E15 on the displayWater under the dishwasher, or a code that will not clear.
+

E15 means water has reached the base pan and tripped the leak protection. Turn off the water supply; we find the source of the leak rather than just drying the pan.

06 Poor wash results or white filmGritty glasses, cloudy film or detergent left in the door.
+

Spray arms, the filter, water temperature, detergent and our hard local water all play a part. We separate a water-quality issue from a circulation or heating fault.

MORE THAN A PART REPLACEMENT

A good repair starts with the whole picture.

A Bosch dishwasher that will not drain or dry needs a diagnosis that fits its series, model and installation.

01

Water path

Fill, circulation and drainage each have their own components. We trace the water path from the inlet valve to the drain hose before replacing anything.

02

Drying system

Condensation drying depends on rinse aid, the final-rinse temperature and, on equipped models, CrystalDry. We test the system your model actually uses.

03

Sensing & controls

Flow sensors, the leak-protection switch and Home Connect features vary by series. We check what your dishwasher is actually reporting.

Before your appointment

Clean the accessible filter at the bottom of the tub, check that the spray arms spin freely, and note the cycle you selected. Do not tip the dishwasher or disconnect hoses; leave the appliance installed.

READING THE DISPLAY

A code is a clue.
Let’s put it in context.

These are starting points for a conversation, not a parts diagnosis. Code meanings and test procedures depend on the model.

6 code groups

E24 / E25

Drainage

Bosch ties E24 to blocked drainage — the filter, hose, air gap or disposal connection — while E25 points toward the drain pump area.

E15

Water in the base

The leak-protection switch has detected water in the base pan. Turn off the water supply and arrange service; the source must be found.

E22

Residual water

Water remains in the sump, usually around a clogged filter area. Clean the filter; a code that returns needs diagnosis.

E09

Heating circuit

Service references tie E09 to the water-heating circuit. We test the heating components and controls for your model rather than assuming the element failed.

E16 / E17

Fill system

Service references group these around the fill system — water entering when it should not, or a flow-sensor issue. The water supply and inlet valve are the starting points.

Blinking lights, no code

Basic & older models

Many Bosch models signal faults with blinking cycle lights instead of a code. Photograph the pattern; it maps to a fault in the service information.

No matching group here. Share the full code and model number with Near.

Photograph the code before resetting anything. An unfamiliar code or blinking-light pattern is useful too.

Fill, drain and drying

Running the cycle, but the water stays.

When a Bosch dishwasher stops draining or drying, the cause can be as simple as a clogged filter or as involved as a pump. This is how we work through it.

01

The inspection

We check the filter, sump, drain hose and the air gap or disposal connection, then test the drain pump. A blockage can mimic a failed pump, so we confirm which one it is before recommending parts.

02

The estimate

You get a written estimate with the part specified for your model. We repair only after you approve it.

03

The check

After an approved repair we run a test cycle to confirm filling, washing, draining and drying before the dishwasher goes back into use.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE REPAIR

New models. Ongoing training. Practical answers.

We keep up with new appliance models through ongoing training. That includes changing controls, sensors and diagnostic procedures, so your dishwasher gets an assessment based on its design and symptoms.

You get a clear explanation, a written estimate and room to decide. We will talk through repair versus replacement when that is the more useful conversation.

repair FAQs

How much does Bosch dishwasher repair cost? +

We diagnose the fault and give you a written estimate before repair work. Price depends on the part, the work and access. Ask us to confirm the service-call charge when you book. Service call fee waived with completed repair.

Why is my Bosch dishwasher not draining? +

Start with the filter at the bottom of the tub, then the drain hose, air gap and the disposal connection — a new disposal with its knockout plug still in place is a classic cause. If draining still fails, the drain pump and controls need testing.

What does E15 mean, and can I fix it myself? +

E15 means the leak-protection switch has detected water in the base pan. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher. Finding the actual leak matters more than clearing the code, so arrange service rather than repeatedly resetting it.

What do E24 and E25 mean on a Bosch dishwasher? +

Both point to drainage. Bosch ties E24 to blocked drainage, such as the filter or hose, and E25 to the drain pump area. Clean the filter first; if the code returns, we test the drain path and pump.

Why are my dishes still wet after the cycle? +

Bosch uses condensation drying, so plastics often hold some moisture. Keep rinse aid filled and use a drying option when available. If everything stays soaked, the final-rinse heating or controls need testing.

Will the dishwasher be repaired on the first visit? +

That depends on the diagnosis, safe access and availability of the correct part. We explain whether the work can be completed during the visit or needs a part order and return appointment.

What warranty comes with the repair? +

1 year on labor, 1 year on qualified installed parts. For more details, give us a call.

How do I book, and when are you open? +

Call (405) 534-4788 or use Schedule Online. Service hours are Monday–Sunday, 9 AM–6 PM, and online booking is available 24/7. Contact us for current appointment availability.

Is a leaking dishwasher an emergency? +

Treat it like one for your floors: turn off the dishwasher, shut off its water supply and wipe up standing water. Leave the appliance in place — tipping or pulling it can spread the leak — and tell us what you saw when you book.

Are you affiliated with Bosch? +

Near Appliance Repair is an independent repair company. Tell us about any existing manufacturer or service-plan coverage when booking so the payment and approval requirements can be clarified.
